X Games 16 is Fast Approaching...
Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 7:37AM It's that time of year again and like herpes, X Games will come and go but will last forever. Ok, maybe that is a bad analogy but you get the point. However, each year these athletes come out and put their lives on the line to prove a point, either to themselves or others. Bottom line though, these guys are gnarly.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to go last year since I had a wedding to shoot but I plan on going this year, as long as EXPN grants my media pass.
I am sure at X this year, there will be a well deserved tribute to Jeremy Lusk. It's hard to believe it's two years since Jeremy won Gold at X Games 14. He changed the game and X won't be the same without him.
Here are some photos that we used at various events, Jeremy's funeral, LLF Gala, and various fund raisers. As photographers, we capture memories, good memories, bad memories, but it's history. A wise man once said, we can't know where we are going unless we know where we came from. Thinking back, I am so glad I was able to be part of some historical X Games history and I hope to be this year!
